How the guides are written

• Specs from the source. Product details come from the makers’ published specifications and current US listings, checked against the exact model we name. Every buying guide shows the date its details were last checked.
• No invented testing. Our picks are based on published specs, not hands-on lab testing, and we say so on every roundup. We do not publish made-up ratings, benchmark numbers or “tested” claims.
• No prices. Prices change daily, so we describe what a budget buys instead of printing a figure that goes out of date.
• Corrections. If you spot an error, tell us through the contact page and we will check it and fix the guide.

How the site is funded
